Prompt for the Promptless; Wu wei

Rarasaur‘s fourth weekly Prompt for the Promptless; Wu Wei

Wu wei, or non-doing, is a Taoist practice involving letting one’s action follow the simple and spontaneous course of nature rather than interfering with the harmonious working of universal law by imposing arbitrary and artificial forms.  In other words, it is the action of non-action.

I took the simplest course of action, for me, and googled ‘Wu wei’ and this is what I found:

The 5th most popular theme!

I would like to try it out, but I don’t want to mess up the formatting of my blog, so I’m going to chicken out for now!

I always thought that’s something you said when you got excited, but I might be thinking of wow-wee!

Anyway, if Wu Wei is the art of doing nothing, then I am a maestro. Thanks, I needed some positive reinforcement today.

I think there’s a setting where you can see what your blog would look like with the other theme without just automatically changing over. 😀 But I like your theme! It may not be wu-wei, but it’s very Barbara! 🙂

You posted this yesterday and as I was doing nothing (online) I didn’t comment!

My day was actually busy, coffee with your mum & dad, then busy with George for a couple of hours before the drive home – All but about three miles are now Motorway.

I don’t like motorway driving, but it does make the journey a bit quicker… (unless it’s the M25… which is like the little girl with a little curl in the middle of her forehead…when she is good she is very very good, and when she is bad she is horrid)
