We went for a walk yesterday up St Martha’s Hill & I was thrilled to find these at the top!
Spring is coming!

Snowdrops! I love snowdrops. My spring bulbs are still sleeping under 1 1/2 feet of snow. Thank goodness for the protection of the snow tho – it was bitterly cold with strong winds all day yesterday and most of the day today.

The frost is back today 😦 8.45am & the grass is crispy white outside…. but the sky is clear, so at least the sun should melt it today!
Our bulbs are peeping out, crocuses, daffodils, tulips, even bluebells… I’m not good in the cold! My circulation is useless so when i get cold I stay cold until I receive external heat. Even after running 5 miles I can have numb feet and lower arms! We live near London, the warmer latitudes of the British Isles, but we are hoping to move to even warmer climes eventually….

Yikes that sounds challenging. I tend to get cold easily from my thyroid issues but I am usually fine if I’m moving. I can relate to having a hard time to warm up when I get too cold. At the same time when it is hot & humid in the summer I can get overheated just as easily as I get too cold in the winter. Broken thermostat is what I call it. 🙂

It never really gets too hot here, occasionally we can have a few weeks of temperatures above 30 and everyone melts, but it’s rarely humid too unless you are in Central London (I was once in August 1995, that was awful)

Apparently there are loads of different varieties of snowdrop! I never realised. I knew there were lots of different Daffodils, but not snowdrops
