Walking on Desborough Island the other day with Wilson, wrapped up in my winter woollies wondering what on earth had happened to our summer (again) my eye was caught by these beautiful delicate blue flowers. It was windy & cloudy, so I didn’t even bother trying to photograph them.
Suddenly just before we were about to head home, the skies cleared and the wind dropped, I turned on my camera and found a tiny flower to focus on. I took one photo, and the battery died.
This is the photo exactly as I took it, no editing or cropping. Normally to get a picture like this I would have to take 10 blurred ones first.
The sunshine was brief, I wrapped up my camera and headed home
Here is my first post for this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge ‘Fleeting’
Can anyone tell me the name of my flower?
The camera gave you all it had before it went to sleep! Lovely shot, I love the delicate colours.

Look up Geranium or Cranesbill. The plant we call a Geranium and buy in garden centres to go in pots are actually Pelargoniums. Geraniums are wild and usually blue. 🙂

So not Geraniums red and Delphiniums blue? Peter agrees with you 🙂

Looks exactly the same flower, but the plant was a lot more delicate, mine must be wild ones
