Happiness is a red convertible

Today I actually got to drive one!

At the Weybridge Sailing Club Regatta people were moving boats with a lovely red convertible with a tow bar, so I couldn’t hold back, I had to ask for a go

A few seconds after driving it up the field there was a bang & the car cut out. I was terrified, had I broken it trying to go into third gear? Luckily for me there were lots of helpful club members around and they soon diagnosed the problem. The spark plug had not been tightened properly and so the plug shot out of the cylinder giving me a near heart attack!

All was well though, Kevin had brought his socket set, and the spark plug was tightened in record time. I was off again and even managed to reverse the boat into the boat shed, with a little direction from Peter 🙂

I do love a red convertible

That red convertible is so you, all that is missing are red polka dot wellies. Wait not now…. You could always change the ribbons on your ‘Weddingtons’!
