I was taking some pictures of the receding flood waters on the river Wey and I like this one particularly. The houses in the foreground are new, but the church in the background was built in 1848.
The weather has been really rainy and grey recently so it was lovely to see a bit of blue sky for My Best Photo of The Week 🙂 Hope i’m not too late! I completely missed last week!!
I have been watching the storms very closely to see if there would be any impact on Belgium. And until now, we’re ok. So glad that I did not have to travel though any of the UK airports over tha past few days. Hope you’re fine.

Yes, the wind was crazy, heathrow was almost closed one day, and Gatwick another. We have been lucky, no trees down or roof tiles lost or flooding 🙂 Hope you guys escape the storms, they are heading North I think

Yes, its been pretty rainy, but when the sun comes out its lovely, and like you say, not too cold! Today we were down by the coast and it was a warm 9’C. More wet and windy weather on the way tonight!

Lurve the blue sky! We had white frost everywhere and the winds are tuning up their chorus for later tonight. As a man who was repositioning the fence next door said to me yesterday, You are a brave height up here! Remember the field below me at the back? It is filled with houses and apartments. I look over the top of the gabled roof of a three story apartment block. By the time the flood water reaches me, I’ll have the ark built! I’ll save you a space!

Wow! I can’t believe that field is all built up! At least they can’t block your view. And as you say, you are probably safe from flooding!
We would like a starboard cabin, preferably with a verandah if thats ok? Wilson is a salty sea dog 🙂
