Flinders Street Station

Flinders Street Station is beautiful, but difficult to photograph!  It’s a very long building!  Here are some of my best attempts;

If meeting someone in Melbourne, many people chose to meet under the clocks…. in case you ever get to meet someone in Melbourne, here’s a picture so you will recognise it;

In fact there are lots of them!  It looked even better with its Australia Day decorations.

Next time I go to Melbourne I must take some photos of the inside of the station!

  1. That is such a beautiful–and professorish–city!

    A valiant attempt for sure. Looks like a beautiful structure and was probably standing pretty much by itself at one time.

    The Clery’s clock of Melbourne!

    Flinders station looks dwarfed by such characterless buildings – bar the church spire. I often wonder how these so called ‘modern’ stacks will last and look 104 years down the line?

      Indeed. Most things built in the 60’s are being knocked down.. i wonder how the 80’s buildings will stand the test of time.

      Those tall buildings do have their uses though…. see my new comment 🙂

    No wonder it was difficult to capture in one photo at ground level.
