Since Jennifer’s One Word Photo Challenge ‘Purple‘ last week I have been finding more and more purple in my life! I found a purple silk shirt & here is a purple flower that got left out from last week’s selection!
We found this flower in Lanzarotte, growing in volcanic rubble. Half of the island is one massive lava flow which happened only 200 years ago, so the land is very new and inhospitable. It was great to see this tiny delicate flower peeping through all the black lava.
Thank you Cee for choosing Purple this week!

Yay! I’ve been starting to do that too- I thought I didn’t have much red or purple, but certain things I use every day are those colors, I’ve just stopped noticing them.

The flower is so pretty, particularly against the lave ground cover. I am growing into purple with age, but there is no sign of a red hat yet!! 😉

🙂 Maybe it drained our colour when we were young? I’m not sure, it only looks good on me in summer when i have a tan!

I think it was considered an old woman’s colour and the paler tones would not suit our pale skin.

Definitely, I can not wear pale colours!! Strange though, Charlotte can, like mum, and they are both pale too 🙂
