Once again I feel like the daily Post has been following me around as I take photos! I took these yesterday!!
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Angular.”
I recognize the “Gherkin” in the background, but what in the world is that building on the left? Fascinating architecture.
The building on the left is the Lloyd’s Building, housing the Lloyd’s ‘names’ I was there yesterday with Dad as he is in London for a few days and he had been to Lloyd’s for work many years ago so wanted to visit it again. You can do a virtual tour here: http://www.lloyds.com/flash/Building-Virtual-Tour/index.html
The curved building is called The Willis Building
very cool buildings!! And great angles of the shots.
Thank you! We have a good collection of quirky buildings in London to chose from them, but this is one of my favourite as it has all its innards on the outside! Reminds me of the film Brazil
Isn’t it fun when the photo challenge plays right into what you’ve been photographing? 🙂 These are perfect for the challenge. Wish I could zip over and see them.
Amazing!! It’s happened to me a few times 🙂 You can visit here; http://www.lloyds.com/flash/Building-Virtual-Tour/index.html
Beautiful shots you have there 🙂
Thank you 🙂

simply incredible !
Thank you, The building is quite amazing…. Have you seen the film Brazil? It reminds me of that film lots! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088846/?ref_=ext_shr_eml_vi#lb-vi1783866905
I think I am old fashioned! I dislike buildings that look like they have been turned inside out!
It looks very different to all the others around it…. there’s nothing like it, 25 years later! Maybe too many people watched the film Brazil that I have been talking about?
I did not see that film. I think it was in Paris that I first saw an ‘inside out’ building, I thought the façade was being replaced, I was wrong. That building did not like make-up!!!!
I think it looks great because it’s one of a kind…. But if there were more of them I think it would be quite horrid!!

Thank you! Yes it’s great, old and new buildings on top of each other… a different view every way you look
