About me

Hello!

Hello!

As I said in my first ever post, Wilson, our black cocker spaniel, lives every moment of every day as a brand new start, every morning he wakes up with such enthusiasm about what might be in store for the day.  Every time we go out, he is so excited he can’t wait to get out the door.  Every time we come home, even if it is 5 minutes later, he can hardly contain himself with excitement for the door to open to let him back in.

This is how I try to approach life. Every day is Day One.

I have so many things I want to do ‘in my spare time’ ‘in the holidays’ ‘at the weekend’ ‘when I get time’. So many things I need to do to get my myriad of new ideas and ventures off the ground both in theory and in practice. So many other bits and pieces that I keep putting off ‘until the summer’ ‘until it gets warm’ ‘until I have a day at home’ ……

This is it. Today is that day!

My blog has evolved since I started it, I’m not sure what I expected it to be, but it is also about;

  • Sharing my Photographs
  • Learning to use my camera
  • Places we visit here & abroad

My philosophy;

  • Living one day at a time
All days are good days according to Wilson

My Family;

  • Husband Peter, 2 teenage daughters, Wilson our Cocker Spaniel, Lilly Plankton our cat and Myrtle our tortoise

Lilly Plankton (our cat) & Wilson don’t co-exist in the same space-time continuum, but here is proof of her existence all the same;

When I was studying quantum mechanics, Lilly was helping me with Schroedingers 'Cat in a Box' theory

When I was studying quantum mechanics, Lilly was helping me with Schroedinger’s ‘Cat in a Box’ theory

    hi. nice site. a photography tip – Colonial buildings at Freemantle – they appear to be leaning forward because the camera was tilted upwards. Something to do with perspective. The professionals used to have a “shift lens” to correct this, we can only stand further away and zoom in. cheers

  14. I really like your philosophy, that TODAY IS THE DAY! Totally agree, so many of us put off life and it simply passes by unlived. Looking forward to reading more!
