Walk in Oxshott Woods

We brought Wilson for a walk in Oxshott Woods today, there were a lot less puddles, but he still managed to find a big muddy puddle and sit down in it.  I decided not to take a photo as I thought that he might be doing it for effect 🙂

Instead the setting sun shone on this tree so I photographed it instead

Janathon Update: One 45 minute dog walk.  Also, while looking for a link for Oxshott Woods, I found this website: www.walkjogrun.net which sounds like a really good idea when I get back into training.  Today was not a good day.  I woke up feeling freezing.  Had a long shower to try & warm up & then put on lots of clothes.  Still felt cold after our walk so went back to bed fully dressed with my electric blanket on 😦  Now sitting huddled up by the radiator wrapped in lots of blankets.  I thought I was getting better, but not today.

Do you had those gel hot pack handwarmers? Not the microwave ones, the reusable ones with a clickable disk in? Try putting them in your trouser pockets. They work wonders for keeping heat in my metal hip and seem to last longer than the suggested one hour. If I am going to be out for more than a few hours, I bring spares with me.

Ha Ha! I got mine for snow, but this year I used them for medicinal purposes! The day I had the boiler replaced was very damp and cold and the doors were open all day. I put one of the warmers in each pocket and they kept the life in me.

Great idea… I could have done with them yesterday, I just couldn’t get warm! I turned my electric blanket up to 6 when I went to bed and eventually got warm again. The house is warm (21′) but I’m just not 100% yet

That is a great image Barbara, I love the colour of the sky, the colour of the sun on the tree, just brilliant.

Thank you :). The sun came out at just the right time. It was only for a few seconds though, as I have a few others without the branches in the foreground but the colours aren’t so vibrant. Nothing like natural lighting 🙂
