I’m sure I would be banned from Weybridge Sailing Club for using the word ‘Zigzag‘ to describe sailing dinghies tacking across the Thames!

SailingOn this day however they weren’t doing much moving at all… the wind was so still!

    Actually, zigzagging is a very well accepted nautical term. As you probably know, it is a crucial naval tactic for avoiding torpedoes. However, you’re right, the canvas crowd would be appalled at the use of it.
