Here is another of my collection of blue photos for Sally’s Blue Monday challenge
This one I found on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square, originally intended for a statue of William the 4th on a horse, but remained bare for 150 years due to lack of funds. In 1999 a sequence of three contemporary artworks were displayed, and the display was so successful that now the Plinth is to be used for the temporary display of artworks. Currently a giant Blue Cockerel!
The statue received great reviews in the UK press with punning headlines such as “Big blue cock erected on fourth plinth in London’s Trafalgar Square”, “Boris Johnson in Trafalgar Square with a Massive Blue Cock And Disgruntled Woman” and “Boris Johnson unveils giant cock in Trafalgar Square”
Hi Barbara,
The rooster is proud as he rules. Thanks for playing today.
I’m looking forward to reading your comment on my baby shower post. Please come back.
Happy Blue Monday!

We had to find it on You tube to explain your comment to the girls (Dad is here so he was able to sing it for them)

I knew he was with you, he always tells me when he going away.
Ask him what was the song he used to sing to Ello, when she was small enough to be carried around on his shoulders?

What a cheerful blue! Not always a welcoming sound in the early morning hours. But a natural alarm clock and beautiful in blue. Thank you for sharing.
