No sun – no moon!
No morn – no noon
No dawn – no dusk – no proper time of day
No warmth – no cheerfulness, no healthful ease
No comfortable feel in any member –
No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees
No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds –
November

A word of warning: I have heard of someone who was threatened with a huge fee for publishing a poem in full without permission…. the etiquette I believe is to quote a section of the poem, with credit to the author and if possible a link to their web page.

I got the poem from a local advertising flyer…. I think this one would be ok because he died in 1845 & I couldn’t find his website….. he probably didn’t get round to it before he died….. But yes, I always link to the source… as in the picture! 🙂 It’s only polite if nothing else!
