This week’s photo challenge is ‘Perspective‘. An interesting challenge…
A Rainbow Lorikeet in a tree in the Botanical Gardens in Melbourne
Zooming out from the tree, the Lorikeet is hardly visible
And zooming out even further… the tree is not a tree!
I don’t know what this plant is, but I think it might be Phormium, the New Zealand Flax…. but I’m not sure! Any suggestions of what the proper name of this plant is would be welcome, but is definitely not a tree!
Day One 
Is the parakeet really tiny? I think you might be right about it being flax, but I’ve never seen a bloom that was much over ten feet high. Which means you’ve got my scale all out of wack. Great job on the challenge!

No, the Parakeet is completely normal sized, about 25cm long!
