Recently I posted a picture of a black swan for one of Cee’s photo challenges that I came across in Esher, near where I live. Then I found out that the Black Swans are actually native to Australia, so when I went there I was thrilled to find some;
These ones were swimming in the sheltered backwaters of Lakes Entrance, one of our swim stops on the way from Melbourne to Sydney!
Thank you Cee for this week’s Challenge 🙂
Oops! This one’s NOT a Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge!! This one belongs to Jennifer!! Apologies Jennifer 🙂 ( Sorry, it must be too confusing having two similar challenges on the same day for my little brain!)
Thanks for sharing Barbara! Such a beautiful Swan- I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a black swan in person before.
And no worries, Cee is lovely and I love her challenge as well (and Cee, if you’re reading this, I hope I’m not stepping on any toes by offering a similar challenge- I really thought nothing of it ’til quite a few people got our challenges confused 🙂 )

I love having lots of photo challenges, it enables me to share lots of my photos that otherwise might not have appeared, so PLEASE don’t stop!! xx

haha no, there have been many. I participate in Cee’s challenges from time to time as well- I’ve just been so busy I haven’t been keeping up with them weekly. But hosting my own challenge has been quite fun- I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon 🙂 Thanks for the encouragement.

That black swan looks like s/he had a home perm! 😆 I am more used to our white version with smooth feathers.

They do look quite different don’t they! I think the Australian ones are smaller and they seem less aggressive
