“I heard a massive explosion and I thought it was a cat flap”

Watching the news this evening we had to stop and rewind one particular item a few times as it was about an explosion that happened near a house where we used to live, and for a second we thought it was our old house.

A big cat

The BBC news on television just gave the general area of the incident, so in order to find out where the explosion was I had a look at our local newspaper’s website.  We were relieved to find out that it wasn’t on our old road, it felt weird to think it might have been our old house!  The article however had a very strange quote;

“I heard a massive explosion and I thought it was a cat flap at first and then five minutes later I looked out the window and saw loads of smoke”

This lady must have one huge cat!!

Our first cat Tiggles was very big... we had to install a Small Dog cat flap for him as he nearly got stuck in the normal one

Wilson was very lucky we had Tiggles, it meant he has always been able to use the cat flap, although he comes a cropper when visiting other people’s houses and they have normal sized ones!

Our large cat, who admittedly did make quite a noise coming through the cat flap...

..although he never really sounded like a house exploding......

    These things seem more creepy when you know the place.

      He was really big, about 15 kilos! He was a half wild cat that adopted us, he wasn’t a lap cat most of the time (thankfully!) but if he wasn’t well or had just come back from the vet he used to sit on us & we used to get numb legs!
