#OneHappyDay #DayOne

What one thought will you focus on this year to bring more peace?

Wilson having a happy day

I have been thinking about this since I went to the bank at home the day before going away and somebody snarled at me for paying in lots of change over the counter.  Then when I dropped some he gleefully picked it up and pocketed it!!

I was too shocked to do or say anything!

I decided at that moment to make sure that I spread happiness this year rather than misery, so when I saw this years challenge by everyday gurus in bloggers for peace I started thinking what I could do to make sure I don’t get pulled down by others’ negative energy, and also to try to spread some positivity!

I found some lovely quotes to help me out

“Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny.”

Gandhi

‘Change has to happen inside’

“Smile at strangers and you might just change a life”

Steve Ma

It’s not all about me.  I have to remember that if people are being horrible, it’s not personal, it’s not me.  I just have to remember to share my happiness with those around me, not walk around with my ‘thinking’ face on which can look like a scowl!

Some of my friends are participating in #100happydays, but I’m just going to focus on #onehappyday; #today.

    What a beautiful post, Barbara.

I didn’t realize you had taken Wilson with you. Does he have frequent flyer miles?

You two are a lovely, happy couple. You obviously practice what you preach.

P.S. If you can let me know who the bloke was that hassled you at the counter, I can arrange for an unfortunate accident. I have friends in low places.

Ha ha! Poor man must have been having a really bad day. Either he is just nasty, or he will feel rubbish about stealing my money until he gives it away!

Wilson stayed at home with our dog minder, the photo is one from the archives!! Peter is missing him, but he is happily giving our dog walker swimming lessons 🙂
