I love watching these sailing hydrofoil boats flying along on top of the water!
They have so little resistance they travel at incredible speeds, but they are so light (most of them are in the ‘moth class’ of dinghy’s) they are hard to control when the wind drops & their sailors often end up in the water. I guess that’s why they usually wear wetsuits
I’d love to try one, but since I can hardly stand up on a paddle-board I doubt I could manage it!
This week’s Weekly Photo Challenge is ‘On Top’
We get a lot of paddle boarders at our beach who go out to be with the dolphins every evening. I haven’t conjured up the courage yet myself. With my luck, I’d paddle up next to a Tiger shark.

Wow, that would be amazing! When my camera fund raises enough money I’ll be over!
PS do you have sharks?

Yes, but only the harmless sand sharks. Haven’t had one of the big guys around that I know of.

We saw lots of stories of sharp ones in Australia, would put you off swimming in deep water there! It was the most worrying thing about the sea over there, otherwise it was deliciously warm & ideal

Was that in New Zealand?
