This is my 200th post! So I have decided to post 2 eggs again. (Also I don’t have many pictures of them!)
The first is called Abstract Painting #1 by Thomas Whittle [The hashtag (#) means number for those of my readers born after the advent of twitter!]
Looking at this egg made me feel like my eyes were out of focus, but it is the painting that is fuzzy, not my eyes or the photograph! I found it hard to look at for too long as it worried the myopic in me.
The second egg is the first (alphabetically) of a series of Children’s Character eggs, encouraging families to participate in the Big Egg Hunt. The Egg Hunt was supporting Action for Children, so having cartoon character eggs encouraged children to participate. Certainly while I was egg hunting I heard lots of squeals when children found eggs portraying their favourite cartoon characters, and this next egg was very popular, although it doesn’t mean anything to me as my children are 16 & 18 and only watch cartoons in secret nowadays.
This egg is called Adventure Time “Bro Hug” by Cartoon Network. The blurb says
‘This egg shows Jake (a wise old dog with a kind heart) giving his best friend Finn (a silly kid who wants to become a hero) a big hug. These two dudes are all they have in the ways of family, and they depend and lean on each other through thick and thin! More importantly, they crack each other up by acting like idiots and telling ridiculous jokes as they traverse their way across the magical land of Ooo’
The first 5 eggs in this most Eggcellent series of posts can be found here
Egg 1 …an uncertain daily history
Eggs 3 & 4 A Frugal Meal & A Monument to The Egg
That 2nd egg is a masterpiece! I love it.

:). I don’t know who did the actual drawing, but the children who knew the characters loved it!
