I am so, so sorry for the loss of your dear friend, Barbara. No one can begin to know your pain … except David. Know that he is there for you as you were for him.

Thank you Maxi, David was a lot younger than me, so we didn’t hang out, but I was really inspired by the way he tackled his leukaemia head on, and I have followed his blog closely over the last few years. It has been heartbreaking to see his deterioration over the last 6 months, horrible knowing that only last August he cycled the Olympic cycling route in aid of leukaemia research, during his second remission.
I read in your post that you lost someone to cancer recently, love and hugs to you too. It is good to know though that at least that horrible pain has gone

So sorry… It’s so sad that when we find our true loves, the ones we were meant to be with, that we can’t set the timer so we both go together. Almost always someone is left behind, like Johnny Cash and June Carter…. Life is hard sometimes, my heart goes out to you xxx
