An Apple Blossom Tree

I brought my camera with me yesterday when taking Wilson for a walk.  It was a cold grey Novemberish day, dark clouds, the threat of snow, but I thought if I don’t bring it, I will regret it.

At one point I noticed the sun trying to peep out from behind the clouds, and a blue patch of sky, so I steered our game of ball/stick towards a beautiful cherry blossom tree.

I don’t think Wilson likes when I get absorbed in taking photographs any more than the rest of my family do, but I love it, and with my new camera I was able to get much better shots than I would have in the past.

Here are a few of my favourites

Not fair! You are way ahead of me with the seasons. We are still at the snowdrop and crocus stage and the hills around have bitter hungry snow. Brrr!

Your cherry blossom photos really brought a warm glow to my heart.

The south of England is at a distinct advantage, although its still quite cold, when the sun comes out it is lovely, and the flowers are braving on through the cold spells & the daffs are in full bloom now. Nothing like the 25 degree heat wave we had last march, but maybe that’s no harm. That was just silly!

(PS when I edit my comments nowadays it defaults onto the text editor rather than the visual one, so I can’t get my degree sign back…. 😦 )

  5. Nice, Barbara, very lovely!! My favorites were #s 3+4. those two were especially crisp and the lighting brought the textures out on the part where the petals are held.

Thank you. I found it really hard to pick my favourites, but I must say I wasn’t so keen on those two as the focus is not in the centre of the picture. I have a very symmetrical brain, but like you I like the colours so they got in anyway!

Beautiful blossoms!! I’m sure Wilson understands that you’re preserving a moment of beauty! 🙂 I liked the 2nd one best, though I couldn’t tell you why. 😀 I can definitely see how you put a piece of yourself in your photography. 🙂 It’s beautiful! 🙂 Thanks for participating!
